A negative pressure dressing assembly includes a drape including an aperture, a cover assembly selectively sealing the aperture in an air-tight manner, a reactor configured to react with a selected gas, and a sealing liner that forms a breakable seal that prevents the reactor from being exposed to the selected gas.
