Abstract
Apparatus (10) for safe and effective shredding of batteries, including lithium-ion batteries, is disclosed. The system integrates a shredding subassembly (12), an auger/screw conveyor subassembly (14), a rotary screen subassembly (16), and an optional solvent recovery/recirculation subassembly (18).
